Deerly Beloved: The processional

It felt like only seconds of standing behind our venue, waiting to walk before the music started and our wedding was truly beginning!

Mr Elk and his parents were next in line: Photobucket Followed by Grandma and Grandpa Elk (aren't they adorable?): Photobucket
SIL E carried our little niece, who definitely got the most "awwws" from the crowd (and with that face, its no wonder!): Photobucket
Our bridal party was next. Since we had an uneven party, I had a few people walk in groups of 3s instead of 2s. Here's bridesmaid K, groomsman G, and bridesmaid C Photobucket Bridesmaid M and Groomsman B Photobucket Bridesmaid J and Groomsman K (who flew in all the way from Japan for the wedding!) And with that, it was my turn! The music changed, and we got the nod that said it was time to walk. Photobucket
I wore that goofy grin our entire walk down the aisle. I was just so excited and happy, and I even surprised myself by not really feeling nervous at all!   And it was easy to feel serene with Mr Elk returning my smile the whole way down the aisle;Photobucket
My walk felt both miles long and shorter than a few steps all at the same time.  I'm so glad I chose to uphold the Jewish tradition of the bride walking with both parents.  As much of a daddy's girl as I am, Mama Elk is my best friend and both of my parents have had a major impact on my life.  I couldn't imagine only walking with one and not the other,  especially because I know how lucky I am to still have both my parents not only alive but happily married. Photobucket Before I knew it, I was standing next to Mr Elk, about to marry my best friend!
