The Dress Fits!!

Hive, I am so excited to share with you my dress, which is currently in the process of being fitted!  So far I've been on two fittings, with another one set for next week and then a final try on the week of the wedding.  I can't tell you how in love I am with my dress, and how every time I put her on I fall more and more in love.

I also can't tell you how much better I feel now that I've lost weight.  The dress was much too tight when I initially got to try it on, barely zipping up.  When I tried it on again at my first fitting it was too big and had to be taken in!  I truly feel amazing in it now.  And so, without further ado, here is my dress!

 

The front: You can see before alterations how big it was in the bust area.  In round 1 of alterations I added cups and had the dress taken in.  In round 2 I had it taken in a little more and crinoline was added to the skirt to add fullness. We are still working on the below bust area, which isn't sitting quite right at the moment, and the hem will be taken up on this round.



The Side: Before my weight loss I was really unhappy with how the dress looked from the side, but now that the cups are in place (making my torso not look flat as a board) and the crinoline has been added, this is ALMOST my favorite view of the dress.  (Also, please ignore my face in the first picture.  I look like a doofus)


The Back: This is by far my favorite view of my dress. I love how it makes me look like I have a butt (when in fact mine is flat as can be!), I love the deep V and how my shoulders look. AH just love it!
And that hive is my dress! I am so happy with my choice, and can't wait to wear her on my wedding day!
