Loved these from etsy:
Rifle Paper Company has most definitely stolen my heart:
Although these designs were more than adequate, there was no space available to provide hotel information to my guests, which was an important purpose of sending out our save the dates in the first place. Therefore, even though I was shaking in my boots, I headed to the craft store.
First I found these awesomely shiny gold envelopes from Michaels:
Next I decided I would use the Minted design as a starting off point, and set up a page in powerpoint to be able to print 2 copies of the card per each page. I found a pretty image of a peony and added it next to the date, then reversed the image and added it on the other side of the date:
Then I made another slide to house 8 insert cards per page, each with hotel information. I found a coordinating flower design and added it to each insert.

Finally I printed them out, cut them to size, rounded corners (it is truly an addiction!), and stuffed. Here is the finished project!
And my favorite part: I didn’t even mean to do this but doesn’t it look so cute when you open the envelope and see our names?
Personal PhotoI’m surprisingly happy with how this project turned out, especially considering what a massive failure the first edition turned out to be! And with that, I’m definitely back on the DIY wagon!
Did a DIY failure set you back or did you jump right back in and try again?
